Drug Rehab in Atlanta

The stigmas surrounding drug addiction make it difficult for those who need help. Addiction is medical disease that left untreated, only gets worse. Our Atlanta drug rehab is here to help. With a full-slate of treatments and modalities, Samba can help you turn things around and find recovery.

Drug use may start as a way to deal with emotional pain or anxiety, but it will only exacerbate those difficulties. For others, prescription medications prescribed for legitimate purposes can lead to misuse and dependency.

Those in our Atlanta drug rehab program often come to us for help with:

  • Opioids: Opioids are a class of drugs that include prescription pain relievers like OxyContin, Tramadol, and Percocet as well as illegal drugs like heroin & fentanyl.
  • Benzos: Benzodiazepines are a class of drugs used to treat anxiety and include medications like Xanax, Ativan, and Klonopin.
  • Stimulants: Stimulant drugs increase alertness and include medications like Adderall, Ritalin, and Concerta.
  • Illicit drugs: Heroin, meth, cocaine, crack, and more.
  • Marijuana: today’s weed is not your father’s homegrown. It’s turbocharged and causing psychosis for many chronic users.

We take an individualized approach to Atlanta drug rehab center. This means that we will work with you to create a plan that meets your unique needs, and execute it together.

Drug Rehab Behavioral Therapies

Our drug rehab in Atlanta includes a variety of therapy programs to help patients heal the underlying issues that may be contributing to their addiction. Our Gwinnett behavioral therapy programs include:

  • Individual therapy – Patients meet one-on-one with their therapist to address root causes and triggers that are fueling their substance use.
  • Group therapy – Patient peer sessions led by our group coordinator. The varied sessions may be topic-driven or quickly pivoted to lend vital community support to someone having a difficult time. The key to our group therapy sessions is to foster everyone’s relatable experiences to help each other as a team.
  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) – In CBT, patients learn to identify and change the thoughts and behaviors that are contributing to their addiction.
  • Family Program – Patients and their loved ones meet with a therapist to openly discuss fractured relationships, underlying issues, resentments, and anger. The Samba therapist establishes boundaries and guidelines for everyone to be heard, and ultimately heal.

This is not an exhaustive list—every individual who walks through our doors will receive a unique combination of therapies that are tailored to their specific needs.

Outpatient Drug Rehab Programs

We offer three levels of outpatient rehab in our Norcross center. There’s no one-size-fits-all TREATMENT FOR addiction, which is why our flexible programs are designed to meet each individual and collaborate with them on their recovery plan.

  • Partial Hospitalization (five days a week)
  • Intensive Outpatient (three days a week)
  • Outpatient (once weekly)

Suboxone Treatment for Opioids

Suboxone treatment (as part of an integrated treatment plan) is used by our Atlanta drug rehab for heroin, Fentanyl, and other prescription narcotics. Determining if Atlanta Suboxone treatment is right for you includes a full medical assessment, opioid use history, medical history, and other issues. Typically, patients with a long history of opioid addiction, chronic relapse benefit the most. At the same time, Suboxone is a combination medication consisting of Buprenorphine (a partial opioid agonist) and Naloxone (active ingredient in Narcan). This “combo” medicine eases cravings and withdrawals but prevents the Suboxone patient from getting “high” should they choose to use. While Suboxone and other addiction medications are effective, they are only one element of lasting recovery.
